Sanatorium Medea was constructed in 1962 as part of the vast Soviet network of health resorts and sanatoriums in Georgia. The building was commissioned by the Central Union of Consumer Societies of the USSR and was originally known as the Centrosoyuz Sanatorium.

Hotel “GF” was built during a period of ambitious coastal tourism development in Georgia in the late 2000s. Designed as a modern seaside resort, it featured luxury accommodation, swimming pools, spa facilities, and restaurants.

“Eye of Anaklia” is an unfinished futuristic tower located on the Black Sea coast in the town of Anaklia, Georgia. Built in the early 2010s, it was conceived as part of the ambitious Lazika project, a government initiative to transform Anaklia into a major resort and commercial city.

Sanatorium Imereti is a recognizable example of the monumental resort architecture that emerged in the Soviet Union during the mid-twentieth century, reflecting the Soviet ideal that health care, recreation, and architecture could together contribute to the well-being of society.
